A nice accessory to have is a grill topper. This can be used if you are concerned about small food falling through the grids or off the grill. Also you may be cooking for someone that is concerned about cross-contamination and do not want that pork touching that fish etc. Then using a topper works well. You can also use Aluminum foil (you can double it up and puncture a few holes in it). Good Grillin' to ya'!
Here is a report from NPR on schwenker - German style barbecue. We love shipping our Big Woods Tripod to Germany! http://www.npr.org/blogs/thesalt/2012/08/21/158508900/creating-a-schwenker-world-one-backyard-grill-at-a-time
Are you afraid of a hot dog rolling off your grill? Here are suggestions to keep your sausage from escaping. When you're using a tripod grill (our favorite is the Big Woods Tripod) do not spin your grill too fast, place your sausages lengthwise parallel with the grids, and use a tongs. Buy real casing sausages from your local meat store as they are slightly curled and not prone to roll. Give your hot dogs plenty of room and keep them in from the outer edge. For other foods turn the grill and work your spatula from outside to inside perhaps with other food or a utensil for back-up. Good grilling to ya' and may God bless.
